Big Bear Lake, CA, April 14, 2013 – The local Interact Club will sponsor its 11th annual Cinco de Mayo party for seniors on Saturday, May 4th at 2 P.M. at the Big Bear Valley Senior Center. Bear Valley residents aged 55 and up are welcome to attend this free event, which will feature catering by Hacienda Restaurant, door prizes, and music ranging from the Big Band era to contemporary.
The Big Bear Interact Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake and comprises about 80 high school students as members. The Club meets twice each month and raises all of its own funds (approximately $12,000 each year).
Every year, the Club donates funds to local charities, scholarship funds and international service projects. The party for Seniors is a club favorite, as it gives the members of the Interact Club the opportunity to meet with and engage older members of the community and to thank them for all of their contributions to the Big Bear Valley.
